As I mentioned earlier this whole song is based on the same four chords over and over, but somehow it doesn't get boring! This is because of the progression of the melody, the busy dynamics and the orchestration. Dynamics mean that the band plays softer and louder without changing the tempo. When the dynamics are down you're strumming more softly and the drummer isn't hitting as hard. Same thing when it get's loud- the tempo stays the same but everybody in the band is hitting it harder.

Orchestration means when and what the different instruments are playing! Try to listen to the song and notice how the congas come in and out, when the drummer plays the cross stick and when it's the regular snare sound and so on.
