This amp is representative of much of what is on the market today. Even if it's not tube, the same setup can be found in solid state configuration. A solid state setup will bring the price down even more and in some cases be more road worthy. The tone may not be as rich in the solid state model, but you can still get pretty close to what you hear in this lesson. The difference can sometimes be noticed by only a seasoned pro.
The volume pushes the drive of your tone while your master volume amplifies the driven signal. It's a classic choice.
