This next lesson uses a technique called "Chicks and Fills." This approach is very useful when playing with another guitar player, as well as layering guitar parts while recording. The term "Chicks and Fills" refers to playing sparse triads on the top 3 strings on either beats 2 and 4, or on the up beats only. These fills also work great while playing between gaps when the vocalist is not singing. Let's take a look at an example utilizing this fun approach to blues rhythm.
