In our first example, we are going to outline the chord tones of our I chord; in this case A7. The notes in A7 are as follows:

root - A
major 3rd - C#
5th - E
minor 7th - G

We will be using our A minor blues scale to do this, changing all the C notes in our scale to C# to outline the major third of the chord. This essentially becomes a major blues lick, and also contains a major third bend in the mix. Let's see how this sounds and again, the idea is to outline the A7 chord with chord tones.
