I own a few of these Marshalls. I can say that the JCM-800 2204 is a classic wonderfully harmonic Marshall. I does like all amps howeve have its shortcomings. My 50 watt does not clean up well at all. As a matter of fact, you would be hard pressed to even play with a driving drummer in practice and be heard. I would reccomend a JMP 50 watt over the JCM800. Cleans up better, point to point wiring vs. circuit board. Try and get a vintage 25 watt Marshall greenback 4-12 cab to go with it and you will have a pair that will never go down in value.

For what its worth
