Hi all,

when I started playing guitar few months ago, I bought yamaha FG-800 Dreadnought size. Although it is a wonderful guitar, I don't feel comfortable playing it maybe I'm smaller in size. (5"4)

I'm thinking about buying smaller guitar. If anyone owns Taylor GS mini guitar, would you recommend it?

I can't help you at all with the Taylor guitar. But you have to have a guitar that is comfortable. If you don't practice is not going to a pleasant experience and, eventually, you are going to start dreading it.

I'm a smaller guy and just bought a 000 size and it is very comfortable. I love it and love practicing with it.

Good luck on finding something similarly comfortable for you.

As you look at guitars, don't settle on small sound, to get a small guitar. Good ones can have a very big sound if they are well made.

Taylor GS Mini has quite the following. Especially the all mahogany model. It has a full sound for its size. A friend of mine owns one as a "travel" and "couch" guitar, it gets played the most. I tried it and was impressed.

If you can, also get to your local music store and check out other smaller bodied guitars. Breedlove, Alvarez, Yamaha, Guild make full sounding smaller bodied guitars as well.

I am also in same boat. Looking for smaller size guitar.
eastman, Alvarez, Martin and Taylor all make good smaller size model.

I have read very good reviews of sheeran by lowden. I have not got chance to play it yet. When I get chance to play I will know.
Try and play see what you like.Keep us posted on what you decide.
