Slowing down MP3s
Is there any free or cheap software available to download that will allow me to slow down music on my PC without changing the pitch?

Get Winamp if you haven't got it already, and then look for the Chronotron plug in, wich lets you alter the speed of mp3s without changing the pitch.
Both are available at http://www.winamp.com

For Mac PPC there's one called Amazing Slow Downer 1.03 ... reads music directly from your CD-ROM drive, MP3, AIFF or .WAV files & slows down between 1% and 400% or speed up to twice the normal rate, pitch adjustments in semi-tones etc..

Hey r_moreno7, where did you find that plug in? I just went to the winamp.com website and tried to find that 'chronotron' plug-in but for some reason I couldn't find it there. Can you post the exact URL so I don't have to go thru all that search engine stuff again?

this is where I got it....it is a plug-in called pacemaker
you can get it also from the link that trend gave and then push plug-ins at the menu on the top...then click on pacemaker to download...to pull it up on your winamp you push ctrl - K then you heighlight under plug-ins - DSP/effect and click start you will see a little window pop up where you can control tempo, pitch , and speed....any questions just ask :) -Robyn
