Might be shooting too high here in the harder side of rock, I discovered a band called IDLES last year that was so unique to anything I've heard before and have been obcessed ever since who are making a bit of a scene in new music.

On the chill out side of things Khruangbin is a great listen

Who should I be listening to today? 2022?

I understand, I grew up in the classic rock era. My theory instructor was a big modern metal guy, so most of my homework was based around that genre.

I found that even though it wasn't something I listened to, it was a blast to play, and my skills drastically increased.

Not surprising innocci.  My son-in-law-to-be follows a number of metal guys that are genuine virtuosos- amazing players.

Just checked out IDLES.  They are indeed unique. Not my kind of thing but definitely unique. I listen to just about everything so thanks for the steer. Thought I might send the guitar player a pair of pants but thought better of it ;)

Khruangbin is a definite chill pill. Liked it.

thanks again!

Alter Bridge is touring at the moment.

If you like classic rock they might be close enough for you. Maybe like a metal/classic vibe.

Miles Kennedy (Alter  Bridge) has done alot with Slash. Not sure if they plan on anything in the future.

Just saw a young southern type rock band live and they were fantastic. They are called Robert Jon and The Wreck. Their new CD Ride Into The Light is outstanding. Try out the title song and see for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Long Live Rock!
