I was researching the PRS S2 line recently. They are made in the USA. Reviews were hot and cold. I didn't think for the price they were a good deal.

I would take a look at the Gibson SG. 12 to 14 hundred and you are looking at a top of the line model. Great humbucker tone, light weight and awesome playability. I believe the newer models have split coil humbucker so you can play single coil or humbucker.
