Hi axeman81
I have been here on and off since February 2009. I visited many releted guitar web sites and by far GT is the best. I could give you some suggestions about your problem however as a full member why you do not post a message to Steve White, to GT in-house Guitar Technician? http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30

Welcome to the site! Great influences :)

Snapping too many strings can be caused by many different things.

Here are a few:
• The bridge of the guitar can have sharp edges
• The angle where the string goes over the bridge can be too steep
• Your picking technique may be a bit too violent :D
• Your pick may be a bit too thick
• Strings are too thin (shouldn't be a problem though)

I used to have big problems with snapping strings, a few high E strings every week. I refined my picking technique, installed a graphite bridge on my strat, strung my Les Paul backwards, and now I never break strings. :)
