Peter Gabriel Cover!!!

Here is a video made by Gavin Castleton covering Peter Gabriel's hit "Sledgehammer." Gavin is an amazing artist from Portland, OR whom I am a big fan of and have had the pleasure of playing for and touring with across the country since October of last year. It's funny, I've never liked that song. I realize that so many recognize something about it and that era of Peter Gabriel that I did not.

However, I noticed that I really liked the version posted here. Really liked it. Two things I noticed, when the song wasn't so overdone as was, I think, the production on the original, the song has great qualities when it has the ability to breath a little.

I should also mention, in addition to all the other talents of Mr. Castleton, he has a really wonderful voice I found very compelling.

Very cool. Wish I had some of that gear, too.

He is nothing short of amazing, and working with him over the years has been a dream come true in some senses. Check out his music as the link below as he is an amazing writer and musician.
