All artists are chosen for the site on a quality and entertainment basis, and if repesented on the site, they will have up to 3 tracks/pieces of music chosen as free mp3 downloads. When we reach 50 artists in total, between our GENERAL ARTISTS SECTION and 12" ARTISTS SECTION (28 at present, from various countries) we will start rotating them, to keep new music on the site at all times, and to allow visitors to have more chance to hear new stuff from the artists that return to the site. Therefore being able to form, more of a long-term opinion of their material.
There is also a MIXES SECTION, which was included to help attract more people to the site, but turned out to be quite entertaining, and extremely popular. Some producers, that are featured in our 12" ARTISTS SECTION, also have mixes in this section, along with club nights, record labels, and radio shows. We will put around 20 mixes up and then start rotating them, like the artists on the site, again keeping freah stuff in this section.
We also have a FEATURES SECTION, in which we try to include articles about other useful music sites, band competitions coming up, and generally just stuff that may be of interest to our music-making, and music-loving visitors. There is a new QUEEPFORUM just added too. Which we hope will be a place where some visitors may leave their opinions about the featured material on the site.
We are looking for all styles and genres, of both material and mixes.
To submit we will need you to send;
1- a cd copy of all the tracks we could choose from as full-length mp3 downloads (or your best mix, if you dj). We need a cd copy to listen to it at home too, as this is the way most people will end up listening to stuff on the site, we hope!
2- We would also need info about the artist/group/dj in question, and info. about the material sent. Any reviews, gigs, radioplay, history, future hopes would be helpful too. This can be mailed with the cd or emailed.
3- Images/photos/logo as a jpeg/bmp etc.. If you have one on the net, tell us where to find it, if not please send it as an attachment by email to us, or in the mail, on a disc, along with the cd.
The whole idea of the site, is to be a place where people can come and download quality new music for free, and new artists can use it as an extra promotional tool, especially those that want to go the Independent route, and those that are activly trying to push their sound. The site aims to be as concise and entertaining as possible, but not really any glitz and glamour, it is more about the content. At the moment we are doing great, with the figures growing by the month, and we some great artists/djs coming to the site over the next few months, so we hope it continues to grow.
